Brew Crew Coffee Roasters

Brew Crew Coffee Roasters have set out to start a business that makes a real, tangible difference to the most important people in the supply chain: the producers!

While at university, the founders joined Enactus, a student-led social enterprise, opening their eyes to how business can be a force for good that can have a genuinely positive impact in the world.

The coffee industry has a long history of exploitative trade, where producers living in some of the most politically and environmentally challenging parts of the world have to accept unfair trading practices designed to benefit consumers.

As a social enterprise, they are committed to a sourcing strategy where every coffee bean they buy is done so with absolute transparency, and a commitment to improving the lives of coffee farmers and their communities.

The Origin

The Los Tablones coffee from Brew Crew Coffee Roasters originates from the south of Guatemala.

This coffee comes from Baudilio Lemus, who farms in the south of Guatemala.

Baudilio's father first coffee trees 62 years ago on less than a hectare of land and dedicated himself to learning everything about coffee cultivation.

Gradually, they expanded their coffee plantings, making steady progress.

Around 40 years ago, they began processing their own coffee, and Baudilio has continually refined his techniques to produce the highest quality beans.

On their farm, they not only nurture native shade trees but also actively protect small springs and water sources, ensuring the environmental health of the area.
