Sage Barista Pro (Tom’s Review)
I tried out the Sage Barista Pro many moons ago now, and it felt like bringing a coffee shop right into my kitchen.
This sleek machine sports a brushed stainless steel finish that not only looks great but is also packed with features that let me craft a café-quality espresso from the comfort of home.
From grinding the beans to frothing milk, everything I needed was right there
My Opinion
Using the Sage Barista Pro is quite the experience. It certainly offers a more hands-on approach compared to simpler models, making it a fun project for coffee lovers.
The sleek stainless steel design is a bonus; it looks great on my countertop.
The screen really helps simplify the process, taking the guesswork out of measurements.
Overall, it’s great for those willing to put in some effort for a truly fresh brew but may not suit everyone’s tastes or lifestyle. If you're prepared for some trial and error, the coffee it produces is well worth it.
What stands out for me is the built-in grinder that offered dose-controlled options, so I could get just the right amount of coffee each time.
Plus, the heat-up time is incredibly fast, thanks to the ThermoJet system which is perfect for my hectic mornings.

Design
When I first laid eyes on the Sage Barista Pro, I was impressed by its sleek brushed stainless steel finish.
It looks stylish and fits well in my kitchen without dominating the space. The compact design doesn’t compromise on functionality, making it seem like a professional device right at home.
The controls on the LCD screen are user-friendly, and I found the grinding and extraction animations particularly helpful for tracking my brew progress.
While the sturdy build is reassuring, it does weigh a fair bit, so be prepared for a little heft on your counter. The integration of the grinder saves space, but cleaning up after each use can be a pain. Overall, it feels solid and well-made, despite the occasional need to tidy things up post-brew.
The Grinder
The integrated grinder is fantastic.
With just one touch, it grinds the beans to the perfect amount for each cup.
However, after using it and actually taking the perspective of a home barista (we don’t have to be that efficient hey) it soon grew on me.
Fast Heat Up Time
I appreciate the speedy heat-up time.
The machine reaches the ideal extraction temperature in just three seconds, which is impressive. It allows for a quick shift from brewing to steaming, so I can go from espresso to frothy milk in no time.
