The second largest city in the UK, Birmingham has heaps of coffee beans to choose from.

As with many of the UK’s bigger cities the specialty coffee industry has seen a huge increase in the last decade (minus London which has always had an incredible coffee scene).

Coffee shops are springing up all over Birmingham with indy coffee roasters following suit. Alongside the trend of homebrewing post covid, Birmingham has an array of coffee beans that you can purchase in house or online.

Here at Batch coffee club we feature the UK’s very best coffee beans in our fortnightly or monthly coffee subscription. We are regularly sent coffee beans from Birmingham to sample and have showcased some of the city's favorite coffee roasters .

If you’re in the market for world class coffee beans then maybe take a look at our coffee box packages below. Otherwise checkout some of the coffee beans from Birmingham that we have previously featured.

Are you in Birmingham right now and looking for coffee?

If you’re on foot and looking to buy coffee beans in person from somewhere in Birmingham then there are numerous places that you can dive into and pick up a bag of freshly roasted coffee.

First off, try out Quarter Horse, they are on Kenyon St in the Jewellery Quarter and enjoy a cheeky espresso and pastry while you’re there.

If Quarter Horse doesn’t do it for you then how about Yorks Coffee Roasters they have a couple of coffee shops, one on Stephenson street and the other in the Ikon Gallery. If you have time I’d definitely recommend trying to sneak in a brunch when you’re picking up your coffee beans.

I would also recommend hitting up some specialty coffee shops that may not necessarily roast their own coffee but many sell retail bags of the coffee that they use. Here is a pretty good guide from Best Coffee Guide.
