Discover Beantale Coffee Roasters and the incredible coffee they showcase.
Who are Beantale Coffee Roasters?
Beantale coffee roasters commenced its operations in 2018, situated in the bustling locale of South-East London.
Their objective and vision centred around delivering exquisite specialty coffee to London's busy populace.
At Beantale, each coffee bean embodies a unique chapter in an unfolding story. Every bean carries an individual tale of flavour, aroma, and origin.
Instead of merely considering coffee as another beverage, Beantale perceives it as a cultural narrative and a vehicle for storytelling.
With each sip, the company guides its customers through a labyrinth of nuanced and complex flavours inherent in their meticulously roasted coffees.
The aim is to unlock a sensory voyage for the palate, revealing new flavours and experiences that create a lasting impact.
Education remains a cornerstone of Beantale's operations, aside from their commitment to roasting quality coffee.
Their roastery has the esteemed certification from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), and they provide a range of both certified and non-certified courses for aspiring coffee professionals and aficionados.
This is facilitated by their Trainer, Julian Loayza, who is not only a licensed Q Grader but also an Authorized Specialty Trainer (AST) in the realms of Roasting, Sensory Skills, Green Coffee Skills, Barista Skills, and Introduction to Coffee.
Beantale takes great pride in its mission to disseminate knowledge and educate the public about the intricate world of coffee.
The Origin
The EL Bordo coffee from Beantale Coffee Roasters originates from the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala.
Denin de Leon is a 2nd generation coffee producer.
When he was 14 years old, his father inherited a part of this farm. He started producing coffee and has on his turn has given the land to his son.
Denin feels proud to have its own farm, wakes up excited, he says, because he knows he is building and improving by having his land.
His family has always worked hard to move ahead and sustain the farm in the past years. Denin also feels a responsible to pass this on to the new generation and motivate them to produce quality coffee.
Throughout the year there are many things to do at the farm, such as cleaning and maintenance of the land, managing shade, controlling pests and diseases such as leaf rust and Ojo de Gallo (Rooster’s Eye), both fungus diseases, fertilizing the farm.
Then, at harvest time there are 3 rounds of selective picking (only ripe cherries). Cherries are pulped on the same day of harvesting, then fermented for approximately 48 hours (depending on the weather conditions), washed with clean water and sundried on patios.
