Coffee Origin

The San Vincent from Kickback Coffee Roasters Originates from the Santa Barbara region of Honduras.

Benjamin Paz is well known for putting the coffee of Santa Barbara on the specialty coffee map. Alongside his family, Benjamin runs the exporting company Beneficio San Vicente. With this platform he created a program that connects farmers in the area with roasters from around the globe. We met Benjamin a number of years ago and this is now our 4th consecutive year of sourcing coffees through Beneficio San Vicente.

The honey process is a hybrid method where the skin is removed from the coffee cherry, but a sticky layer of the fruity, sweet mucilage is left on the bean during drying. This process creates a coffee with a balance of the fruitiness from natural processing and the acidity of washed coffee, resulting in enhanced body, sweetness, and a thick, syrupy quality in the final cup. We think this lot has a roasted hazelnut aroma with a honey like sweetness, some delicate floral notes, a syrupy body that coats the mouth and a sweet fruit cake finish. Is your mouth watering yet?
