The Serenity coffee that I received from Liberty is a blend of coffee from the Americas. Huehuetenango in Guatemala, Colombian Timana and Brazilian Pocos De Caldas. This certainly is a blend of high-scoring speciality coffees that you don’t always see in speciality coffee roasters. Blends are often used to create a coffee that has a consistent and mid-range flavour profile, often used in espresso machines they require body and darker flavours to perform well when mixed with milk. The Fragrance of the Serenity coffee was not what I expected from a blend – Sharper more acidic notes rushed out of the bag layered with caramelized fruit and brown sugar.
