Salford Roasters was formed in September 2016, with the mission to bring ‘Proper Coffee’en masse to Salford and Manchester people and beyond, and to inspire a passion for speciality beans and their origin.

From a garage to being noted as one of the most consistent roasteries in the NW, supplying some of the most prestigious venues around such as Harvey Nichols and The Lowry Hotel – Nik ensures the team is pushing the limits in everything they do, whether that be super experimental stuff (co-ferments/anaerobics and the like) or just lush nutty blends for those pairing with milk or just new to the scene. They roast on one of just 3 IMF roasters in the country, known for its low carbon emission.

Coffee Origin

The Bonara Coffee from Salford coffee roasters originates from the Sidama region of Ethiopia.

Bonora is a part of the East Sidama zone borderes in the south to Bona Zuria, in the southwest to Bursa, in the north to Oromia Region, in the northwest to Gorche, and in the east to Bensa. Arbegona’s largest town is named after a district name Arbegona.Unlike other coffee-growing regions in the country, the altitude of this region is up to 2,200 masl and its coffee is referred as a Highland Coffee. The coffee is grown on tiny plots of lands in Arbegona highlands, benefiting from the region’s high altitude is more dense and smaller in bean size!

Tasting of tropical fruit, strawberry and papaya, this light roast bursts with juicy sweetness and a delicate acidity, making it an ideal choice for filter brewing, AeroPress, or a vibrant espresso. It’s complex, fruity, and as fresh as they come — a go-to for lovers of clean, characterful coffees.
